Halloweeeeeeeen
Hey guys, wow....I start a lottttt of my posts everywhere with that....anyway, today has been filled with getting the house ready for our Halloween party tomorrow.
We have been pretty busy so I'm posting from my phone quick as I finish getting some stuff ready.
Well our downstairs bathroom is a mess. The shower started leaking through the walls about 4 or 5 years ago and due to monetary issues, we can't afford to fix it. The house was built before todays materials for bathroom walls really existed. Being the second owners, we take the brunt of the fixing and breaking.
Last year the shower pipes started leaking, causing a small flood. After dad checked all the shut offs, he found it leaking behind the shower faucet the only way to stop it was to literally break through the shower title and wall....soooo one shower for 5 people. So we decided to use the downstairs half broken, totally crappy bathroom to our advantage. You really never know how awesome the dollar store is until you decorate a room for 3 bucks.
If you decide to get dollar store fake blood, don't use your hands to smear it unless you have some dawn dish soap around. Normal bar soap doesn't work.

Red/White Stripped Where's Waldo Hat!
Okay, I know I said I wanted to post my wedding invitations but honestly, Chris and I woke up later than expected today and the rest of the day I spent working on my Halloween costume. That being said, I didn't really get around to the invites quite yet. I have plenty of time.(The words of procrastination.)
Sooooo, my parents are trying to figure out their costumes for our Halloween party on Saturday and my dad decided to go as Waldo!
Red duct tape on a white shirt...that'll work out quite well. But what about a hat?
In my mind(on the way to the store) I came up with the perfect crochet pattern in my mind and decided as I make the hat, I'll type it up here for you guys for free! :] You all know how I love free stuff. So let's begin!!
Where's Waldo? Crochet hat
I will use both red and white Red Heart Super Saver yarn for this project.
Red Heart E300.0319 Super Saver Economy Yarn, Cherry Red
From the beginning, I realize you might think it's weird for me to do a hat like this, but because the way it's shaped, I made it this way.
Foundation row: Chain so the hat will a bit tight on your head.
Row 1: Chain 3. Then double crochet in each stitch around.
Row 2: Slip stitch the last double crochet of the first row and the 3rd chain of the first double crochet together. Chain 3 and double crochet in each stitch around. Slip stitch at the end.
Row 3: Chain 3 and double crochet in first 10. Double crochet the next 2 together to make one stitch. Do this for the rest of the row. Slip stitch to connect.
Row 4: Chain 3 and double crochet in each stitch around.
Row 5 & 6: Chain 3. Double crochet in first 5 stitches, then double crochet next 2 together to make one stitch. Repeat for the rest of the row. Slip stitch together.
Row 7: Switch to your second color(white). Chain 3. Double crochet in the first 5, then double crochet the next 2 together. Repeat for the rest of the row. Slip stitch together.
Row 8: Repeat row 7, but without switching colors.
Row 9: (Now I need a bit of height) Chain 3, Double crochet in each stitch around. Slip stitch at the end.
Row 10: Chain 3. Double Crochet in first 5, double crochet next 2 together. Repeat. Slip stitch at the end.
Row 11: Chain 3, double crochet in each the whole way around. Slip stitch at the end.
Row 12 & 13: Chain 3, double crochet in first 3 stitches, then double crochet the next 2 together. Repeat around the row. Slip stitch at the end.
Row 14: Chain 3, double crochet in first 2 stitches, then double crochet next 2 together. Repeat for the row, slip stitch at the end.
Row 15: Chain 3, double crochet in 1 stitch, double crochet next 2. Repeat for the row, slip stitch at the end.
Row 16: Chain 3, double crochet 2 stitches together the whole way around. Put the two sides together, by pulling the string through ,or sew them together. Finish off at the tip of the hat, giving you the pointy "Where's Waldo?" hat.
Make a pom pom, adjust it to the top of your hat and you're complete! :]
Gahhhh!! For some reason, my phone isn't letting me send the picture to my e-mail. So when it finally does, I'll post the picture. Sorry guys!!
I hope you enjoy and if you can help me make this pattern better, please do and comment what I should do to change it! :]

The List of DOOM!
The guest list.
When you're a little girl, you plan your wedding in your head and you imagine your perfect wedding. For me, it was this gorgeous blue color scheme and being surrounded by my family and friends and (of course) my imaginary grooms friends and family. Now, as you get older and realize, "Holy crap I have to pay for this all myself!" You find yourself changing up exactly how you wanted it as a kid.
So the best way to tackle the list of doom? First, grab a HUGE notebook. Not only will you use this for your guest list, but it's a great way to get organized and write every single thing about your wedding planning in it. This thing has become my best friend.
Five Star Wirebound 3-Subject 4-Pocket Notebook, College Ruled, 11X8-1/2, 150 Sheets (MEA06210) - Assorted colors
For instance, the list that Chris and I have compiled so far includes 13 in the wedding party(including ourselves), 84 from my family and 71 from his. That's 168 people right there. Yes, we both have very large families. And to be honest, it's not even all of mine... I cut some of the second cousins and such out(which my mother was NOT happy about). Then with our friends we come to a whopping 208. YIKES!
So the best way to cut down is to start striking. One(or two if they're a couple) get stuck from the list on both sides. I take one, Chris takes one. I take two, Chris takes two. It makes it fair with the "we haven't talked since high school" friends.
Now this is how we've helped get our list down, and we're still in the rough draft guest list stage, because honestly, I can't afford to feed a reception party of over 200 people. You always account for the most, pray for the immediate family & closest friends.
Hopefully, tomorrow, given some extra time away from finishing my Halloween costume, I'll be able to finish a few of my invitations so I can show you a great way to do those! :]
Goodnight and great planning!

Have the want for more?
So like I titled this entry, the want for more. Simply put, pretty much everyone out there has the want for more. More money, a better car, a better job, more free time... pretty much everyone. As it happens, I am in the hunt for more money. I'm currently unemployed(after a very long, drawn out, saddening ordeal) and in need of a bit of extra cash. I mean, I have a wedding to plan! I can't really do that with Chris' pay checks, and neither of our parents are in the financial standing to help us with the entire thing(bits and pieces, maybe). After trying the whole, let's work ourselves to the bones for a crappy paycheck that barely gets us anywhere, I wanted to try to find me.
Now what exactly does that entitle?
A lot actually. I have no clue what I wanna do for the rest of my life. I used to want to be a baker and make wedding cakes to sell.... After working in food service for all but 4 years.... that luster has left my eyes to say the least.
So then I think, "Well I love my arts and crafts..." Who doesn't? Who makes arts & crafts and doesn't have an etsy or a storenvy? My sister has both, and so does my cousin. Pretty much anyone out there who has had a friend tell them, genuinely, "That's so cute, I'd totally buy that!" has one. So while I am enjoying my crocheting(and plan on posting up some patterns for free here when I make my own), I am creating a stock to maybe one day open a storenvy, and if not, give to friends & family as gifts.
So where does that leave me on finding me? Pretty much no where helpful as of now. I don't know if I'd want to go back to school - or even what for. Honestly, I'm enjoying the break.... but I can't do it forever, and I know it.
Now let us get back to the want for more. I'm sure that those of you out there that have tired surveys. You know what I mean, those little ads on the side of google, or a blog or even Facebook that tell you how you can earn money NOW by completing surveys. If you have tried them out, you realize that a lot of the time you get halfway done a survey just to get kicked out because you "don't meet our demographics". Uhm....WHAT? What a waste of those 5, 10, 15 or even 30 minutes. For nothing! Or once you do complete enough surveys and earn points for things, you get an expired gift card. What a bigger WHAT in your face!!!
Obviously, that's going to drive any normal person insane! If you enjoy that....well this isn't for you.
I have started with a nice survey site with no kicks. Yes, that's right, I said it. NO KICKS! Amazing thought, right? After earning $15 with the site, they allow you to cash out. When you want to cash out, make sure you have your paypal updated and it normally takes no more than 72 hours.
So, now that I have your attention, you wanna try it out, right? :)
